The political economy of music

In volumul sau Noise: the political economy of music, economistul Jacques Attali nu mentioneaza nici macar o singura data cuvantul elegant.

NSPE aka SS (national-socialist power electronics sau, mai pe scurt, Satanic Skinhead).

Ca si in curentul BM, si scena noise a dezvoltat laturi politice extreme, in special de coloratura NS, membrii acestor grupari ramanand destul de obscuri chiar si in interiorul obcurei scene power noise / death industrial. Motivele pentru care aceste asocieri devin posibile si chiar predictibile nu sunt greu de identificat: distanta elitista pe care aceste curente o iau fata de mainstream, filosofia de tip gnostic / nihilist – cu toate riscurile pe care le comporta folosirea termenului gnostic – cu care acest curent artistic este infuzat si, nu in ultimul rand, faptul ca NS a fost, spre deosebire de comunism, un curent politic care sprijinea – aparent – organizarea traditionala a societatii.

Pentru cunoscatorii limbii italiene, numele Cazzodio are o incarcatura destul de puternica. La fel ca si titlul acestui album, ce s-ar putea traduce, in varianta Lupului de gheata, prin directions towards  a negative practice.

Dincolo insa de stofa politica cu care se vrea a fi invesmantat, d.p.d.v. artistic Cazzodio nu deziluzioneaza. Dimpotriva. Creatiile sale – un mix interesant intre power noise si death industrial – nu sunt (si) altceva decat sunetul unei civilizatii in cadere libera, una pe ale carei ruini singurul sunet posibil ramane cel al Distorsionarii.

Center for History of Hermetic Philosophy and Related Currents – unicul centru, pana la ora actuala, dedicat acestui subiect atat de complex.

Unul dintre cele mai importante instrumente de lucru editate de centrul mai sus mentionat – pe scurt GHF – este Dictionary of Gnosis & Western Esotericism, o lucrare masiva in doua volume (cu peste 1200 pp. in total) ce prezinta

a great range of historical currents and personalities that have flourished in Western culture and society over a period of roughly two millennia, from Late Antiquity to the present. By doing so, it intends not only to provide a comprehensive reference work, but also to question certain ingrained assumptions about the history of Western religion and culture, and promote new agendas and analytical frameworks for research in these domains.

Asadar un intrument obligatoriu pentru toti cei interesati in a intelege mai in adanc societatea contemporana si nu numai.

Unii m-au “acuzat” de a fi exagerat in a vedea peste tot numai religie / teologie si de a analiza  arta (contemporana sau nu), economia sau politica europeana pornind de la acest criteriu. Recunosc: vad peste tot structuri religioase: in moda, in arta, in economie, in finante, in politica etc. Pentru mine, a lasa aceaste structuri afara inseamna a lasa enorm de mult afara, inseamna a ignora motorul cel mai important al societatii, baza fundamentala a realului in care ne miscam.
