Iata doua referinte bibliografice importante:
The cruel myth of Apollo and Marsyas enjoyed surprising popularity in the Renaissance. Based on over one hundred representations, this investigation explores the intentions with which the artists and their patrons evoke the myth, including Perugino, Raphael and his circle, Giulio Romano, Parmagianino, Bonzino, Tintoretto, and Titian.
Excelent.
F. Saxl - Pagan Sacrifice in the Italian Renaissance.
Publicat in: Journal of the Warburg Institute, Vol. 2, No. 4 (Apr., 1939), pp. 346-367.
P.S. 2. Polirom, 2002.
