Chelsea textiles

Chelsea textiles:

is a family firm, started in 1990 by Mona Perlhagen, who moved to London from New York, where she had been a fashion buyer for Bloomingdale’s. She identified a need for perfect recreations of antique embroidered fabrics and cushions, to complement traditional interiors, and set about researching and sourcing authentic materials and the world’s best craftsmen, to produce hand-embroidered fabrics of the same quality as those of the 17th and 18th centuries.

Transmedia

Large studios and broadcasters, as well as independent filmmakers are building fictional worlds that smash through their frames on to multiple platforms. This new type of tie-in extends, rather than adapts, storylines. It tells various parts of the story using distinct media, exploiting the qualities unique to each platform. Today’s transmedia producers are planning for multiple platforms from the start. They design fictional universes that are consistent however the audience engages. The trend is already reconfiguring the industry, affecting everything from how stories are made, down to titles on business cards.

Henry Jenkins explica cu cuvintele sale de prof’ la MIT ce-si-cum cu transmedia asta buclucasa, aici:

21 century trans-mediated world, that is a world where converging technologies and cultures give rise to a new media landscape.
